I had a home once, and I lived there for many years. I was a very well-behaved boy. I learned to shake paws, give high fives (or as we say in Thai, a “Sawadee”), and I walked nicely on a lead without pulling.
That’s why I don’t understand why my owners took me far from home and abandoned me from a Tuk Tuk. I waited and waited, but they never came back.
And just when I thought my luck was finally changing, I came so close to being adopted into a forever home again. Everything was lined up, and I was ready. I was really looking forward to starting a new life, having my own person, my own routine, and a place where I truly belonged.
It was meant to be with Frida, my fellow rescue dog here at Lanta Animal Welfare. We were going to start our next chapter together.
But the adoption fell through at the final hurdle, and it was genuinely heartbreaking. I was already picturing the life we were about to start, and then suddenly it was gone.
So now I’m here, trying to be brave, and hoping someone else will choose me for real, all the way to the end.
